Zimbra Implementation
Zimbra can be used in the following two variations:
| Infrastructure | As dedicated E-mail server, regardless of location. Either customer based or located at a webstyle "server farm" | Hosting Service offeredon a Zimbra Server at webstyle |
| Cost Effectiveness | For companies with a larger number of E-mail accounts | For companies with fewer E-mail accounts (< 40 Accounts) |
| Implementation | Server hardware installation , Domain initialization, E-mail Account initialization (Imported or Transferred by AD) | Domain initialization by webstyle, E-mail Account initialization by E-mail Administrator access |
| Migration | Dependant upon platform: For example Exchange, POP/IMAP-accounts. Other software protocols are available | Using IMAP or imported from PST-File protocol into a new Outlook profile, completed by device synchronisation |
| Client Configuration | Carried out by internal IT technician | Carried out by external IT support service when necessary. Basic instructions for standard configuration available on-line |
| DNS | Administration by internal IT technician responsible for DNS management | Third-party contractor chosen by webstyle |
