This is a very helpful option to manage then entrance of the mails. It’s an easy way to make a classification, for example for newsletters or mails sent from same domain.
Some mail clients support this function as well. But, by working with Zimbra, we suggest to do it directly in the Zimbra web client (click on “Preferences/Mail/Filter”). Doing this way, the filter will also be applied if you retrieve the mails with your mobile device or laptop.

Give a name to each filter. This will simplify the identification of the filters, especially if you are creating several filters. Now, establish the rule of the filter and what should happen with incoming e-mails, fulfilling these rules. Anytime, a filter could be activated and disabled.
